Pendry Park City Announces Executive Team Ahead Of Winter Opening

Opening this winter, Pendry Park City, the first mountain resort from Pendry Hotels & Resorts, announced the executive team to lead the new 153-room resort and residences. Joining General Manager Richard Wales will be Director of Sales and Marketing Chris Lawing, Hotel Manager David Silva and Director of Spa Jessie Valdez. These individuals bring years of experience to Pendry Park City, and they look forward to welcoming guests and residents to the resort upon opening.

Chris Lawing, Director of Sales and Marketing
Chris Lawing’s hospitality journey began in Virginia where he held manager and director roles overseeing both meetings & events and catering operations at three different hotels, including The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. In 2010, Lawing relocated to Park City as part of the pre-opening team of Montage Deer Valley, where he was initially the Director of Catering and Conference Services. In 2019, he assumed the Director of Group Sales position, and he and his team achieved a record-breaking year for the property, with over 27,000 group room nights booked. After 10 years at Montage Deer Valley, Lawing brings his impressive background to Pendry, where he will be responsible for capturing corporate and group sales, weddings and social events, and working with the top luxury travel agencies on behalf of the resort.

David Silva, Hotel Manager
David Silva brings 17 years of experience to Pendry Park City. In his role as Hotel Manager he will be responsible for supporting and managing day-to-day hotel operations. Silva started his career in Orlando, Florida where he held a food & beverage supervisor role at The Orlando Airport Marriott. He quickly climbed up the ladder to Senior Operations Supervisor, leading all food and beverage departments and restaurants on property. Since then, Silva has bolstered an impressive resume working at some of the nation’s top properties including The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the Fairmont San Francisco, and most recently, the St. Regis Deer Valley.

Jessie Valdez, Director of Spa
Jessie Valdez is an innovative wellness leader, board-certified holistic health coach and former massage therapist that has been in the spa and wellness industry for 15 years. She transitioned from the role of Spa Director at Glenwild Golf Club & Spa to the Director of Spa for Pendry Park City. In 2015 prior to Glenwild, Valdez served as the Director of Spa & Wellness and Marketing Specialist at Main & SKY Hotel in Park City where she led wellness programming and treatments. Valdez will be responsible for guiding Spa Pendry’s programming and innovation.
