Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Opens New Outdoor Venue

Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, the largest hotel in Arizona with 1,000 guest rooms and more than 80,000 sf of meeting space, announced the opening of its renovated Valley Overlook. Perched on the hotel’s fourth floor, the outdoor venue offers views of the downtown Phoenix landscape and has been revitalized to better accommodate a wide array of events.
The newly remodeled Valley Overlook is more than 6,000 sf of outdoor space. As part of the construction, a soffit was built effectively changing the shape of the venue and mitigating the impact of sound for guests staying at the hotel. Strings of “festoon” LED lighting were hung as were small LED spotlights for added ambience, and state-of-the-art audio and visual capabilities were installed.
Beyond changes to the outdoor space, the prefunction space was expanded to more than 1,500 sf and outfitted with stylish, new furniture. The landing of the floor’s elevator was extended, adding a second prefunction area.
