With businesses slowly opening back up to socially-distanced groups, many professionals are also taking a much-needed Zoom break and opting for small group gatherings and in-person meetings to reconnect and plan in person.

Lake Geneva’s Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is observing this trend first hand with the rise of the in-person, socially-distanced micro-meeting of 10-15 people convening together, no virtual call dial-in required.

“Since reopening the resort in June, there has been increased interest from corporate groups and executive teams inquiring and holding small meetings,” said Brad Lyles, Grand Geneva’s director of sales and marketing. “Grand Geneva offers several creative options for these requests – including indoor and outdoor venues and the opportunity to use larger spaces that typically host hundreds of attendees. We’ve also been getting creative with underutilized spaces such as the Geneva Club Lounge to host these smaller meetings and gatherings. We’ve been able to restructure our event space and campus to meet the needs of groups who want the connection of getting things done in person.”

Consistently rated as one of Wisconsin’s top business and leisure resort destinations and the premier choice for conventions and meetings in Lake Geneva, WI, the 1,300 acre property offers 62,000 square feet of functional meeting and conference space plus room options designed to accommodate any event and social distancing requirements (all while following the resort’s CleanCare Pledge). From the resort’s recently renovated Forum Convention Center, to an outdoor pavilion, and several large and mid-sized ballrooms and boardrooms, Grand Geneva’s large campus allows guests and meeting attendees to spread out and use the space as needed.

“Due to the size of our campus, we are able to spread guests out and get creative with spaces to ensure guidelines are being followed. Most professionals don’t have the corporate office space to host in-person meetings with guests seated 6ft apart. We offer a solution for these groups who’d like to reconnect in person,” Lyles explains.

And social distancing is easy (and fun) at 1,300 acre property. When it’s break time, the resort offers plenty of seasonal outdoor experiences year-round such as beautiful Wisconsin hiking, mountain bike trails, skiing, horseback riding, motorized scooter rentals, classic car rentals, championship golf, tennis, and more.

For meeting groups who would like to buyout an entire resort building, there’s an option for that too with rates starting from $129 per person.
