PCMA Launches Ascent CEO Promise

As part of an ongoing effort to promote diversity and inclusivity across the events industry, PCMA President and CEO Sherrif Karamat, CAE,  launched the Ascent CEO Promise during IMEX Frankfurt.

The promise asks CEOs to commit to embracing a culture of inclusiveness in their organizations and events. Building on work done in the wider business community, the Ascent CEO Promise outlines three goals:

1. To make our workplaces and events open and trusting settings.
2. To provide education on barriers to inclusivity, including unconscious bias.
3. To share what we know, what we learn, and what needs improvement.

Karamat presented the Ascent CEO Promise during a She Means Business panel that he moderated during IMEX Frankfurt.
