Menin Hospitality, a leading collection of upscale lodging, lifestyle restaurants and nightlife venues, announced today that Robert Festinger was appointed as vice president of hotel operations, in conjunction with his current role as the Mondrian South Beach’s general manager. Miami’s famed Mondrian South Beach pioneers Magic City’s hotel scene and offers one-a-kind-views of the glittering waterway and the downtown skyline.
“Menin Hospitality is committed to maintaining and upholding the utmost standards across our eclectic portfolio of properties,” said Jared Galbut, Managing Principal at Menin Hospitality. “We are confident that Robert’s vital experience and practical expertise in the hotel industry will be instrumental in supporting our vision of providing guests with unique and authentic experiences.”
Festinger will oversee all day-to-day operations for Menin Hospitality’s portfolio of hotels, including the Mondrian South Beach, Shelborne South Beach, Gale South Beach, Gale Boutique Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale, and Raffaello Chicago. Festinger will ensure that all hotel operations are carried out professionally, to Menin Hospitality brand standards, and to the highest level of guest service. Festinger will also act as a dynamic, experienced and motivated mentor to other property general managers and their management teams.
Festinger brings over two decades worth of hospitality experience to the table, having worked in hotel properties across South Florida New York and Chicago. After graduating from Hofstra University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics, Festinger went on to hold prestigious senior management positions with notable brands, including Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where he received the Platinum Award as Director of Catering and Convention Service and the Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort, where he oversaw operations for the Sunny Isles oceanfront resort’s 360 rooms and more than 600 employees. Most recently, Festinger served as General Manager of YVE, a 250 room downtown Miami hotel owned by HOST Hotels and Resorts and managed by Destination Hotels and Resorts.
