International Special Events Society Launches Global Partner Program

Worldwide Event Association, The International Special Events Society, has on November 11 announced the launch of its first Global Partner Program.

The program, developed over the past 12 months, aims to create commercial partnerships with a select number of organizations that want to target the global event industry.

Research carried out by the association reveals a combined spend among its 5,000 members worldwide of $22 billion, which is comprised of $1.8 billion spend on destinations and venues, $1.7 billion on hotels, $2.3 billion on food and beverage, $1.8 billion on furniture and event rentals, and $2.4 billion on audio-visual and production. In addition, the organization collectively spends $1.6 billion on event insurance and $1.3 billion on air travel.

In terms of overall global spend, the United States/Canada is the biggest market at $15.7 billion, with the UK and Europe at $4.1 billion, Australasia at $1.1 and the Middle East at $700 million.

The program enables its partners to gain access to the associations 5,000 global members along with its 25,000 direct buyer database, social media platforms, exclusive events and promotional campaigns and www.ises.com — the industry’s leading portal.

The first commercial partnership is due to be announced next week.
