Hilton Cleveland Downtown Tops Out

September 30, 2015

HIlton Cleveland/DowntownThe topping-out ceremony for the $272 million, 600-room Hilton Cleveland Downtown Hotel was held today. Built on the site of the former county administration building, the 600-room hotel is scheduled to open in June 2016.

The facility will be connected underground to the new Cleveland Convention Center and Global Center complex, located to the east and south of the hotel. The current plans call for the Hilton to connect to the convention center on the concourse level.

The building will feature a 26-story tower filled with guest rooms that will be positioned atop a six-story, 90-foot base that will house ballrooms, a lobby bar and restaurant, retail space and the hotel lobby.

Plans include approximately 46,000 sf of meeting space and a sky bar on the top floor of the tower. Depending on the outcome of engineering studies, a weather protection connection to parking is being planned.
