Since 1978, the DMC Network has pledged to be the Business Events Industry’s most trusted and reliable collective of destination management companies. Our motto – We’re there for you! – embodies that promise to our clients and the 100+ regions where we live and work.

We believe discrimination has no place in the DMCN, but resting on our beliefs is not enough. Silently mourning does nothing to support marginalized members of the global community we are so grateful to be part of. Our silence ends today – Black Lives Matter, and racism is a pandemic that must be confronted head-on.

We are committed to supporting our words with action, starting with the DMCN’s inaugural Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee. This member-driven effort will serve as a voice for the entire DMCN and is the first step toward transforming our convictions into measurable results.

The DE&I committee’s work will begin with creating access to educational resources for our members while identifying opportunities for improvement across our organization. As we grow together, we hope to expand these efforts to include industry-wide mentorship and outreach.

In partnership with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, the DMCN Board of Directors proudly pledges to:

· Uplift the unique contributions of our members, regardless of race, color, gender, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, citizenship, disability, or veteran status

· Ensure the practices and policies of our member companies align with our stated commitment to fostering diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces

· Create opportunities to accelerate the growth of marginalized members of our community
We know that meaningful change requires action – listening, learning, unlearning, and ultimately dismantling barriers to our collective progress. The path may not always be clear, but we are firmly committed to finding a way forward.
