ESPA Welcomes New President From Visit Spokane

The Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) has installed a new president as well as new board members, the organization announced.

Amy Cabe, director of convention and visitor services at Visit Spokane, is ESPA’s president for 2018.

ESPA’s mission is to prepare event and convention services professionals for pivotal roles in innovative and successful event execution. The association serves as a forum and an educational resource for CSMs. ESPA advocates for the role and impact event service professionals have on the success of events, as well as destinations, hotels and convention centers.

ESPA also announced the following changes for its 2018 officers: Paul Ruby, CMP, Sheraton Dallas, moved into the position of past president; Jamie Huckleberry of Pittsburgh’s David L. Lawrence Convention Center, is president-elect; David Raymond, CMP, The Westin Charlotte, is first vice president and Julie Brakenbury, Greater Raleigh CVB, assumes the role of treasurer.

Branda Wasnok, CMP, Visit Anaheim, Casey Gwin, CMP, Destination Cleveland and Denise Reid, of Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans, are new members of the board of directors.

ESPA extends its thanks and recognizes the outstanding contributions of departing board members Rebecca Moore, CMP, The Westin Indianapolis and Tiffany Eck, CMP, Visit Denver.
