No doubt you’ve heard stories about Milwaukee’s winters– trudging through sky-high snow mounds, streets disappearing under blankets of snowfall, and human popsicles frozen on sidewalks. When you meet at the Wisconsin Center, attendees are unaffected by rain, snow, and fluctuating temps thanks to the convention center’s place in the city’s skywalk system.

Milwaukee’s 1.75-mile skywalk system takes visitors to several downtown amenities and attractions without ever going outdoors. The Wisconsin Center is one such attraction with windowed skywalks directly connected to 1,300 hotel rooms as well as access to even more hotel rooms, delicious restaurants, and fun shopping.

Skywalks are not the only source of light at the Wisconsin Center. Inside this convention space, the only thing greater than its square footage is its natural light.

Entering the Wisconsin Center’s main entrance from Wisconsin Avenue, guests are greeted by a sunlit atrium. Continuing into the center, participants still feel the sunshine on their skin as they walk through halls of floor-to-ceiling windows. The weather is so nice in the convention center that palm trees thrive inside, a nod to Milwaukee beer barons and the palm trees that decorated their beer gardens.

As light pours into the Wisconsin Center, attendees can gaze out at beautiful city views. For a break between sessions, event-goers can venture out into Milwaukee’s vibrant, walkable downtown thanks to the convention center’s location in the heart of the city.
