Rosen Hotels & Resorts in Orlando announces it has secured GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council™ on behalf of its three convention properties as part of its ongoing, heightened focus on associate and guest safety and security — Rosen’s Total Commitment.

Rosen’s Total Commitment now includes the GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation, known as the gold standard of prepared facilities. This elite designation provides company associates and guests an assurance that the 1,501-room Rosen Shingle Creek, 1,334-room Rosen Centre and 800-room Rosen Plaza are implementing the industry’s highest standards for cleaning and disinfection of infectious agents like the novel coronavirus. The three Rosen Hotels are among 34 Florida properties that have achieved the notable designation to date.

“While no amount of money can truly buy one’s health or happiness, we are dedicated to identifying and obtaining the best resources available for preserving the health and safety of our most-valued associates and guests,” said Harris Rosen, the Southeast’s largest independent hotelier and President/COO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “This decades-long commitment may have become more relevant due to the recent pandemic; however, we have never wavered from this focus. Guests and associates are considered extended family. Providing to them this peace of mind is something we consider vital for a safe and enjoyable experience at our hotels.”

The three Rosen convention properties combined offer 3,635 luxury guest rooms and suites, and 700,000 sq. ft. of spacious and versatile indoor and outdoor meeting space, many offering incredible vistas of the area’s lush landscape. With so many varied, creative spaces, the hotels can customize gatherings of any size utilizing numerous measures, such as social distancing to ensure the utmost guest safety, especially during the current pandemic.

“We are excited to welcome meeting planners and groups of all sizes as they return to our cherished Rosen Hotels,” said Leslie Menichini, vice president, Sales & Marketing, Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “With due diligence, we have implemented extensive, additional security and wellness measures throughout our hotels to put their minds — and those of their attendees — at ease. In addition, Rosen Hotels is known for its versatility and customization, features planners are identifying as imperative as we work in partnership to prosper amid these ever-changing times.”

Rosen Hotels & Resorts’ unrivaled dedication to the health and wellness of its guests and associates is not a sudden, pandemic-driven interest, but one that spans more than 30 years. In 1991, due to rising healthcare costs in concert with diminished benefits, and with a personal interest in wellness, including 1 ½-mile daily swims up to present day, Rosen was emboldened to place his company’s wellness into his own hands, creating a self-funded, highly-regarded healthcare program called RosenCare.

Intimately familiar with the company, its guests and associates, the RosenCare team, along with hotel management, was uniquely qualified to swiftly create Rosen’s Total Commitment, a heightened safety and security plan for the protection of guests and associates in response to the coronavirus pandemic. As part of the plan, the Rosen Medical Center was one of the first entities in Orlando to facilitate access to rapid turnaround PCR testing, and since then also has secured access to rapid antigen COVID-19 testing for its associates.

Rosen’s Total Commitment is a program dedicated to providing guests and associates at Rosen Hotels & Resorts in Orlando the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and well-being.
