The Westin O’Hare Completes $22 Million Renovation

The Westin O’Hare announced on September 18 the completion of a comprehensive $22 million renovation project, resulting in a newly designed lobby, the addition of a full-service Starbucks café, a brand-new gastro pub concept for the Benchmark restaurant and a floor-to-ceiling renovation of all 525 guest rooms and suites. Operated by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., The Westin O’Hare also refurbished and expanded its state-of-the-art meeting facilities with the addition of a 3,800-sf ballroom.

The hotel’s fully renovated guest rooms and suites boast new furniture, carpeting, paint and wall coverings. All rooms come equipped with the Westin Heavenly Bed — featuring lush sheets, down cushioning and a patented pillow-top mattress. Fully refreshed bathrooms offer the Heavenly Bath enhanced with the brand’s Heavenly Shower, Heavenly Robe and White Tea Aloe bath amenities. Additionally, rooms offer high-speed Internet access, 42-inch, flat-screen televisions and environmentally friendly climate controls.
All public areas were refreshed as part of the renovation project, including the complete redesign of the front desk and lobby areas. The lobby lounge was transformed into a full-service Starbucks café, which includes outdoor seating. The hotel’s 50,000 sf of meeting facilities were refreshed with new carpeting, wall coverings, lighting fixtures, artwork, audio-visual services and high-speed Internet connectivity, while the addition of the 3,800-sf Michigan Ballroom provides more options for meeting planners.
Redesigned as a gastro pub, the hotel’s Benchmark Restaurant features a full lineup of beers on tap and a selection of fine wines. The full-service restaurant serves a variety of popular American comfort foods, as well as the Westin brand’s signature, healthful SuperFoodsRx menu.
The four-star, four-diamond Westin O’Hare is ideally situated just minutes from O’Hare International Airport and offers complimentary airport transportation every 15 minutes.
