| NEW YORK, NY / MARCH 1, 2019 Health, yeah! The Wright Fit — designer of more than 140 premium health clubs worldwide and operator of 20 facilities in New York City, including 15 Central Park West, 432 Park Avenue, 220 Central Park South and 150 Charles Street — will manage the 10,000-square-foot fitness center at the landmark 512-room TWA Hotel, opening on May 15, 2019. CEO Jay Wright, a leading strength and conditioning specialist and celebrity trainer, designed the cutting-edge gym with his team.Eero Saarinen, the prolific designer of the 1962 former TWA terminal under restoration by MCR/MORSE Development as the TWA Hotel, once described his building as “a place of movement.” It’s even more true today: Quadruple the size of the world’s biggest hotel gyms, the TWA Hotel’s progressive, functional performance-based fitness center will offer TWF’s signature mix of futuristic and best-of-the-past equipment, including strength-trainers (sandbags, kettlebells, TRX) and conditioning machines (rowers, treadmills, ellipticals). |

You can strike a pose in the yoga studio, secure a personal trainer — or just show up for one of the heart-pumping cycling sessions on the packed schedule of classes.Afterward, cool down with nutritious, rejuvenating snacks and juices at the on-site galley. Need to catch a flight? No sweat. Freshen up in the locker rooms outfitted with up to eight showers and fully-stocked, salon-style vanities (think hairdryers and custom TWA Hotel grooming products).“This is a very big fitness center,” promises Tyler Morse, CEO and Managing Partner of MCR and MORSE Development. “It’s not your typical crappy hotel gym.”
“The TWA Hotel’s fitness center has the perfect blend of progressive design and great energy throughout the space,” says Jay Wright, CEO of The Wright Fit. “It will be one of the best gyms globally. I equate it to a MacBook Pro: It has a sleek design and is loaded with cutting-edge equipment for experts but is user-friendly if you’re just looking for a straightforward or simple workout.”
