Paradise Point to Debut New Meeting and Event Space

This fall, Paradise Point, a Destination Hotel on San Diego’s Mission Bay will debut a new 15,500-sf meeting and event space on their private island resort. The Sunset Pavilion, a modern space that will accommodate all types of functions, from corporate meetings to large-scale galas, will bring Paradise Point’s total meeting space to more than 80,000 sf and solidify its position as the biggest conference hotel in Mission Bay and the 6th largest in San Diego.
The new Sunset Pavilion, located next to the resort’s bayfront conference center and adjacent to the Sunset Terrace, will serve to accommodate larger groups of more than 1,000 guests, with the ability to divide into two prominent and separate rooms. The pavilion’s custom design will feature modern and luxurious amenities, including 120 feet of glass walls and doors showcasing sweeping views of Mission Bay, custom hand-made chandeliers for ambient lighting, premium event carpeting, spacious ceilings that rise from 13–28 feet and 4,000 sf of outdoor prefunction space on the adjacent terrace. In addition to premium design, the space will feature extensive technological and electrical capabilities, including full rigging capabilities for AV, wireless capability for up to 2,000 devices and full LED control panels for lighting, heating and air conditioning in both sections.
The new spacious Sunset Pavilion will now allow the resort to host large-scale exhibits and trade shows. The resort has earned the title of “Best Hotel Space” by the Professional Convention Management Association, a spot on Cvent’s list of the top meeting resorts in North America, and a 95 percent client satisfaction rating for events in 2014.
Paradise Point, a Destination Hotel, is a 462-room bungalow-style resort set on 44 acres of gardens, lagoons and beaches on Mission Bay in the heart of San Diego. Among the resort’s various amenities are a luxurious island-themed spa, an 18-hole putting golf course, private marina, beach bonfire pits and five dining venues including two waterfront restaurants. Paradise Point is next door to SeaWorld and just minutes from the airport, downtown San Diego, and top attractions like Old Town, Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo.
