Loews Chicago O’hare Hotel Soars To New Heights

March 26, 2019

Revamped meeting and event spaces, as well as newly designed guestrooms, position hotel as leading meeting and event destination in Midwest

CHICAGO (March 25, 2019) – Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel (5300 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL) today announces the completion of a multi-million dollar renovation including newly revamped meeting and event spaces as well as newly designed guestrooms. Chicago’s history and texture – its industry, parks, and art, influence the elegant and dynamic design.

Conveniently located minutes from Chicago O’Hare International Airport, and a short train ride from all that Chicago has to offer, Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel is positioned to be the top choice for meetings in the Midwest. With top service, split ballrooms on both sides of the property, innovative food and beverage offerings, creative meeting breaks, and more, Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel is the ideal meetings destination.

“We are excited to be able to offer an even more elevated experience near O’Hare International Airport,” said Hans Ritten, general manager, Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel. “The sophisticated new design created by Simeone Deary Design Group brings elements of Chicago into the hotel at every corner.”

The sophisticated vision was created by interior design firm Simeone Deary Design Group, who balanced integration of nature with structure and moments of restful pause throughout the design. Inspired by “a walk in the park,” the design reflects architectural inspiration from iconic structures in Chicago such as Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, and Crown Fountains, as well as elements of nature through texture and color reflecting the green space found throughout the city that is a juxtaposition against the built environment.

As guests enter the hotel, a floor to ceiling green moss wall provides a sense of nature reflecting Chicago’s many green spaces. The adjacent broken rock and concrete that hover effortlessly before a diaphanous image of Daniel Burnham’s historic plan for the City and Grant Park, also known as Chicago’s Front Yard, reflects the city’s history and industry.

The hotel boasts 53,000 square feet of sophisticated meeting and event space, including four grand ballrooms that are split on both sides of the property, 34 meeting rooms, and nine private boardrooms. The on-site restaurant, The Ashburn, also offers private dining rooms and event spaces.

Guests can wander the gallery-like halls of Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel and be inspired by the artwork, which flank the walls of the hallways leading to the meeting and event spaces much like the halls of an art museum. The artwork is a collection of rotating pieces of contemporary works including photos, paintings, and mixed media in addition to a number of permanent pieces.

The hotel’s 556 guestrooms including 60 spacious suites provide quiet moments reflecting trellised areas, lawns, and other quiet escapes found within a bustling city. Warm wood tones, garden greens, and cool concretes invoke a restful pause in an inviting space. The Presidential Suite uses blush tones from seasonal blooms as inspiration for the furnishings and palettes, while the other suite celebrates the greenery in Grant Park as seen from a high-rise apartment.

Inspired by Chicago’s first airport, Ashburn Flying Field, The Ashburn is an innovative restaurant that celebrates the heritage and tradition of aviation. The Ashburn’s offerings include unique twists and modern interpretations of classic American cuisine in a contemporary and relaxed gastropub setting. The hotel has a Fitness Center that is open 24 hours a day and offers complimentary shuttle service between O’Hare International Airport and the hotel.
