Alongside these major city enhancements, Charleston will also welcome new, world-class performances at the Riviera Theater and Credit One Stadium under BHC’s ownership. Combining those places and spaces with standalone Italian restaurant, Sorelle, planners and groups a full array of options to explore through one dedicated sales and service team at BHC.

New Meeting Space at The Charleston Place

From annual sales conferences and grand weddings to board meetings and community events, The Charleston Place has the most comprehensive banquet and conference services in the Charleston area. As part of a $150+ million reimagination of the iconic hotel, 40,000 square feet of event space is being transformed from head-to-toe, with new and refreshed spaces debuting in September 2024.

Drawing inspiration from the rich heritage and allure of the Lowcountry, all existing spaces will receive luxurious upgrades, including new paint, lighting, furniture, wall treatments, carpet and drapery, all in an elegant new color palette that seamlessly blends classical charm with modern sophistication.

New additions include two 1,350-square foot meeting rooms, a second set of restrooms, extended pre-function space, and the conversion of an existing meeting room into a flexible 1,100-square-foot bridal suite.

The Cooper, Charleston’s first 5-star hotel on the waterfront

Overlooking the Cooper River, the 209-room hotel draws its design inspiration from its French Quarter surroundings. Opening in July 2025, it’s sure to be an exciting place to walk, shop, dine, and more for both local Charlestonians and visitors. The property will be accepting group bookings beginning November 1, 2025 in its 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

A New Community Park: American Gardens
