New Outdoor Venues In Shreveport-Bossier

July 6, 2021

Shreveport-700pxLocated in northwest Louisiana, Shreveport-Bossier is home to five riverboat casinos, horse racing, riverfront entertainment, mouthwatering cuisine and shopping. There is no better way to explore Louisiana’s Sportsman’s Paradise than at one of Shreveport-Bossier’s many outdoor venues. The sister cities have two new outdoor venue options that can accommodate large groups in a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.

The Pavillion on Cross Lake is a private eight-acre island that hosts weddings, reunions, events, meetings and more. Once you arrive at the private marina, a barge will transport your party to the island where you’ll find a beautiful setting surrounded by water, cypress trees, native plants and flowers, arches, a fire pit, a giant pavilion, a log cabin and more. It’s the perfect place for your event. The capacity for the island is 120 guests.

The East Bank District is the newest entertainment district to be added to Shreveport-Bossier’s vibrant nightlife scene. The district is notably Louisiana’s only open container district outside of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The Frozen Pirogue, which opened in October 2019, is the newest addition to East Bank District. The oyster and daiquiri bar features live music and serves up cocktails to-go. Other popular attractions in the district include Flying Heart Brewing and Pub, BeauxJax Crafthouse and Bayou Axe Co. East Bank Plaza, which is located in the center of the district, hosts festivals, block parties and East Bank Market. It is also available for private event bookings. The district is conveniently located within walking distance of Horseshoe Casino and Hotel, Boomtown Casino and Hotel, DiamondJacks Casino and Hotel, Margaritaville Resort Casino, Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets, as well as several hotels.
