MC&A, Inc. and RMC, Inc., two leading DMCs, have banded together in a way that allows both companies to provide their clients with greater access to top U.S. MICE markets, world-class cities, and “fresh air” destinations, effective immediately.

“The needs and preferences of our clients continue to evolve, and we must ensure we provide them with diverse and innovative options,” explains Shawn Thomson, owner/CEO of RMC, Inc. “By aligning RMC with MC&A, a DMC that upholds the highest level of standards in customer service, a proven track record for exceeding client expectations, and financial stability, we can now confidently recommend destinations outside of our current service areas by referring our clients to MC&A and vice versa.”

“We have always been focused on the major MICE markets and will continue to do so, but as we come out of the pandemic, more and more clients are looking at fresh air destinations, and we want to give them those options,” says Fritz Lehman, President and CEO of MC&A, Inc.

Early in the conversations between Lehman and Thomson, they recognized that their existing destination portfolios naturally complemented each other. MC&A exists in major markets and RMC is predominantly in a luxury resort and fresh air locations. “While looking at our combined portfolio of incentive destinations and popular M&E hubs throughout the U.S., no MC&A and RMC locations overlap,” says Thomson.

“We are planning to do joint marketing, sales collaboration, and help each other build new client relationships,” says Lehman.

The reputations that both MC&A and RMC have for delivering exceptional destination experiences can be attributed to their longevity and service excellence in the DMC business. MC&A was founded in Hawaii in 1983 and expanded to the mainland in 2019 through a merger with Kuoni Destination Management, while RMC’s roots began in Aspen in 1989 and has since grown into its network of over 30 destinations making it the largest privately-owned destination services company in North America.

“Over the years, we have both built long-standing relationships with clients from the top Fortune 500 companies and the world’s most prestigious Third Parties, and we know the importance of looking ahead, keeping our clients’ best interests in mind,” says Lehman. “The decades spent earning the trust of our clients has only heightened our awareness of the importance of finding a partner that is mutually invested in superior client satisfaction and equally as excited for the future of what the DMC landscape can look like. We found that match in RMC.”
