Will A Swanky Glass Hotel Replace The Georgia Dome In 2020?

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority last week published ‘Vision 2020′ which includes plans for an 800-to-1,000-room hotel on its downtown campus.

Georgia World Congress Center Authority, the organization that owns the Georgia Dome, the Georgia World Congress Center complex (GWCC), and Centennial Olympic Park, this week published “Vision 2020,’ the convention center’s plan to create a total of one million square feet of contiguous exhibition space and a four-star hotel.

According to a report on WhatNowAtlanta, this new addition would include a new 100,000-sf exhibit hall, 48,000 sf of new meeting space, a 20,000-sf lobby, and a 30,000-sf rooftop terrace including event, exhibit and reception space, offering 360-degree views of Atlanta’s skyline and state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
