WestinDallasFortWorthAirport-400The 506-room Westin Dallas Fort Worth Airport unveiled $1.6 million in meeting and banquet space renovations in August that showcased a 38,000-sf complete redesign featuring modern finishes, upgraded amenities and more.

Newly renovated spaces include the property’s 10,000-sf ballroom; 3,000-sf junior ballroom; multiple breakout meeting rooms; amphitheater and accompanying prefunction space. From light fixtures, wall vinyl, woodwork and chairs to the new color schemes and artwork — every inch of the space reveals a modern, clean look.

“This complete redesign will deliver what meeting planners have come to expect from The Westin brand,” said Jeremy Berlin, general manager of The Westin Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport. “The sleek, modern design that embraces a simple yet organic feel will create a rejuvenating and inspiring environment for any event. Meeting planners will relish the new layout of our meeting space. This layout affords meeting planners the advantage of seeing all of their group’s activities from a single location — improving efficiency as well as client satisfaction.”

Various members of Meeting Professionals International gave valuable input and advice as to the overall design of The Westin DFW Airport’s 38,000 sf of meeting space, which is centrally located on the ground floor.

The Westin DFW Airport is situated in the heart of Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) just two miles from DFW International Airport and minutes from the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas, downtown Dallas, as well as the area’s shopping, dining, and entertainment hotspots. Free shuttle service to/from DFW Airport is available for hotel guests.

The recently completed Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s (DART) Orange Line expansion officially opened at DFW Airport on August 18. The opening of DART’s DFW Airport Station links the country’s longest light rail system to the world’s third-busiest airport and marks DFW as the third-largest American airport with a direct rail connection to the city center.
