SITE Elects Board of Directors and Trustees

As the Presidents of SITE and SITE Foundation for 2019, they are pleased to announce results of the elections for the SITE International Board of Directors and SITE Foundation Board of Trustees. The following members have been re-elected to serve a second term on the SITE Board for Europe and North America:

• Eda Özden Günyüz, CIS, CITP, Director of Business Development, MEP Destination Business Solutions, Turkey
• Jennifer Glynn, CIS, CITP, Managing Partner, Meeting Encore Ltd & Intuitive Conferences + Events, Canada

The following members have been elected for the first time to the SITE Board for open seats in Asia and North America:

• El Kwang, CITP, CEO, Untangled Pte Ltd & Business Events Asia, Singapore
• Rebecca Wright, CIS, Director, Account Operations, Creative Group, USA

The caliber of candidates that applied for the open positions on our international board of directors is testament to the strength, power and reach of SITE’s reputation as the voice in business events for incentive travel, the “I” in MICE. We look forward to working proactively with Eda, Jenn, El and Rebecca in strengthening SITE’s voice and reputation amongst members, the industry, the business world and society at large.

The SITE Foundation is pleased to welcome two new members to its Board of Trustees:

• Amy Riley, CEM, Senior Director of Business Sales, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority
• Brad Hecht, Vice President, Travel, Motivation Excellence

Their wide-ranging experience, expertise and contacts in the business events sector will help SITE and SITE Foundation broaden our reach and continue our mission to strengthen the business case for incentive travel through research, education and advocacy.

We also want to acknowledge the immense contributions of our departing board members and trustees: Alicia Yao, CIS, General Manager, IME Consulting Co., Ltd (Asia) continues to serve on SITE’s IBOD but SITE Past President, Rajeev Kohli, CIS, CITP, Joint Managing Director, Creative Travel Pvt. Ltd. (Asia).

Alicia and Rajeev all served with great dedication and distinction, helping to build SITE’s profile and reputation in their regions.
