Riviera Nayarit to Welcome New Convention Centers

Riviera Nayarit recently announced the opening of two new state-of-the-art convention centers: The Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta Convention Center opening this month and the Bel Air Unique Resort & Convention Center Vallarta in Flamingos, which is scheduled to open June 2017.

Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta Convention Center will boast one large meeting space that can be divided into four rooms totaling 32,378 sf with capacity for up to 2,400 people. Additional spaces next to the convention center include a foyer with 14,320 sf of space and four smaller meeting rooms that together provide an extra 3,818 sf. The Vidanta Ballroom will have 5,425 sf of space that can also be converted into two separate areas. Three additional rooms next to the ballroom will allow for an added space of 2,228 sf. Its Grand Mayan Playa also has a meeting room with 1,130 sf. Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta also provides five resort hotels with more than 2,200 guest rooms; two golf courses, one designed by Jack Nicklaus and the other by Greg Norman; 20 world-class restaurants and 18 bars/lounges; 27 pools, one mile beach and Aqua Park with a Lazy River; luxury spas and boutiques. Nightlife options will expand with the inauguration of Cirque du Soleil at the resort in 2018.

Bel Air Unique, in the nearby Flamingos area, will debut the Bel Air Convention Center in June 2017, which will host up to 3,600 people simultaneously in its 33,906 sf of indoor and outdoor convention spaces, making it the largest in Riviera Nayarit. The Grand Salon Bucerias will be the largest ballroom with more than 15,000 sf, accommodating up to 1,600 people. This ballroom can be divided into six smaller rooms. The convention center will have a foyer with more than 8,000 sf of space for up to 860 people. The two outdoor spaces are the Las Tortugas Garden with more than 8,000 sf of space for up to 860 guests and Playa de Chacala with 2,690 sf of space for 280 attendees. All spaces can be arranged in auditorium, classroom, banquet or reception formats. Bel Air Unique completed an extensive renovation and expansion of the resort, increasing the number of rooms from 215 to 419, adding five pools and expanding the number of restaurants from two to six.

Hard Rock Hotel in Nuevo Vallarta debuted the Sanctuary Convention Center in 2015. This multifunction space offers 12,900 sf of space, which combines with the Nayarit ballroom (6,317 sf) and other meeting facilities in the hotel to total 20,000 sf of meeting and event facilities as well as outdoor areas including an open-air auditorium beside the sea.
