The 560-room golf and spa resort’s ballrooms and meeting rooms showcase new carpeting and wall coverings, enhanced by upgraded finishes on paint and woodwork, stylish foyer furniture, new banquet chairs and fully remastered sound and lighting systems.

Highlights of the renovation include:

  • Distinctive furnishings including high-top communal tables allowing for overflow from bar areas and a place for planners and meeting participants to work independently. Small seating vignettes present low-aspect quiet spots for privacy and confidential networking, while upgraded banquet chairs and other selective furniture pieces lend both comfort and appeal.
  • Carpet design inspired by the gentle hues of the desert floor, complemented by neutral, tonal wall coverings featuring textures and colorations native to the surrounding area.
  • An overall elegant palette visible throughout a carefully curated art and accessories collection. Relevant to vintage Palm Springs are old album covers of legendary crooners and old valises with travel stickers, while regional black and white photographs celebrate local architectural features and historical moments. As the theme morphs into current time, design artifacts take on a new spin with unexpected finishes — seen in salvaged wood tables in silver leaf and in sparkling rock geodes perched on stands. Standoff letters in the Esmeralda Ballroom prefunction area even form a puzzle of words and phrases relevant to the iconic Palm Springs experience.
  • Expansive Star Suites, which salute the timeless celebrity appeal of the area, are named in honor of Bing Crosby, Marilyn Monroe and other legends of entertainment. All of the resort’s guest rooms are uniquely oversized, but the new Star Suites offer especially memorable, exclusive new options ideal for planners and meeting VIPs.

The resort’s meeting space transformation is accompanied by the introduction of a dramatically enhanced new swimming pool experience, with recently introduced cabanas able to accommodate not only leisure travelers but also groups of varying sizes. The property’s new SPC restaurant also offers an ideal new venue for small- to medium-sized private functions, providing easy lobby access and an acclaimed modern Italian menu.

Conference facilities at Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa feature 100,000-plus sf of flexible event space, highlighted by three ballrooms, 22 breakout rooms and more than 53,000 sf of outdoor function space presenting some of the region’s most stunning panoramas. Up to 1,200 attendees can gather in a total of 45 meeting rooms including the one-of-a-kind, 18,392-square-foot Esmeralda Ballroom, the 14,784-square-foot Crystal Ballroom and the more intimate 5,148-square-foot Valencia Ballroom.

Executive boardrooms and breakout rooms, meeting offices, registration areas and prefunction space with floor-to-ceiling windows and dramatic views of the Santa Rosa Mountains also are available. Additionally, the resort’s one-of-a-kind entertainment meeting space, Stir, provides a dual meeting and social setting offering beautiful lake views, computer work stations, flat-screen televisions with Wi® consoles and a room capacity of up to 250 people for a very modern take on receptions.
