Orlando’s B Resort & Spa Celebrates Grand Opening

October 22, 2014

B-Resort-&-Spa-Ext.-Day-400Orlando’s newest lifestyle resort, B Resort & Spa, located in the Walt Disney World Resort, has completed its extensive renovation, with all facilities and amenities now open.

“B Resort & Spa delivers a rare blend of chic, sophisticated fun for both adults and children,” said General Manager Keith Wolling. “With a full-service spa, a bustling restaurant scene, innovative technology offerings, expansive meeting space and an incredible location just minutes from the theme parks and the convention center, this property is completely unique and unlike anything else in the market.”

Part of the stylish B Hotels & Resorts portfolio, the resort is located in the Downtown Disney area within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and entertainment, and a brief ride away from the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, to which the hotel offers complimentary shuttle transportation. The resort is 10 minutes from the Orange County Convention Center and 20 minutes from Orlando International Airport and downtown Orlando.

The brand’s first full-service B Indulged Aveda, a lifestyle spa, offers a customizable menu of services including massages and skin care treatments, a hair salon, a nail boutique and the state-of-the-art B Active Fitness Center.

B Resort & Spa partnered with the Wildlife Foundation of Florida for the local extension of the popular brand-wide B Humane Program, which was designed to increase awareness of endangered species native to the region in which each B hotel is located. Through the program in Orlando, a plush gopher frog is available for “adoption” (i.e. purchase) in each guest room, with a portion of the proceeds going towards wildlife protection efforts.

The resort’s signature restaurant, American Q, is a modern take on classic barbecue. A collaboration with internationally renowned restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow of China Grill Management, the restaurant serves barbeque specialties from more than a dozen regions throughout the United States and Latin America, including an appetizer and salad buffet housed on the flatbed of a 1951 cherry-red Ford F1 pickup truck, and an all-you-can-eat parade of barbequed meats and poultry, continuously served tableside by cowboy/cowgirl servers. Other onsite dining outlets include the Pool Bar & Grill and The Pickup, a casual one-stop shop located just off the lobby for quick breakfasts, snacks through the day, and a full-service ice cream shop. In-room dining is also available 24 hours a day.
