Omaha Again Ranks Among America’s Best Cities

June 7, 2019

OMAHA, NE.  –  Omaha has been named one of the best small cities in America by Resonance Consultancy, a leading advisor in tourism, real estate, and economic development. For the second year in a row, Omaha has earned the number two spot – Honolulu is number one. The city is ranked number two among 50 U.S. cities with a population of less than one million.

“Omaha is a city filled with art, culture, and dining experiences that rival a city three times its size,” said Keith Backsen, Executive Director for Visit Omaha. “And the city is only getting started, currently more than $1.3 billion is being invested into Omaha’s airport and downtown convention district, including a new riverfront revitalization plan that will provide meeting planners and leisure travelers even more distinct ways to enjoy the city.”

The top 50 cities were determined based on six criteria that included: the quality of arts, culture, restaurants, and nightlife; key institutions, attractions and infrastructure; economic prosperity; and promotion via stories, references and recommendations shared online.

Highlights of Omaha’s ranking include: #6 in culture, nightlife, dining and shopping; #5 in attractions and cultural institutions; and #1 in economy and standard of living.
