New Meeting Space Opens at Westgate Lakes

Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa in Orlando recently expanded its meeting offerings with the opening of 20,000 sf of new meeting and banquet space. The 2,300-villa, luxury condominium resort now offers a total of 36,000 sf of meeting space.
The new meeting space is located on the top floor of the new seven-story, mixed-use development, which includes award-winning restaurant concepts, a parking garage, retail shops and other entertainment venues. The first phase of this $20 million project is complete and includes the meeting space, 500-car parking garage and valet drop off. The restaurant and retail spaces will be completed this year.
The flexible meeting space, which can be divided into eight rooms accommodating up to 1,000 people, offers 360-degree views of Orlando with giant windows overlooking the Orange County Convention Center with views of the nightly fireworks from Central Florida’s major theme parks. A boardroom offers ideal space for board retreats and executive meetings.
Planners also can choose from onsite entertainment venues, including Sunset Key — a private island in the middle of a spring-fed, 85-acre lake. The resort also includes a variety of amenities for groups, including an award-winning health spa and fitness center, marina with boat and kayak rentals, game room with bowling alley, putt-putt golf and a variety of indoor and outdoor bars. Groups also can enjoy an array of outdoor sports and recreation, and even host a poolside event at any of the seven pools on site.
