New Event Spaces Debut on Santa Catalina Island

Santa Catalina Island Company recently unveiled brand new indoor/outdoor meeting and event facilities on Catalina Island, located just 26 miles off the coast of Los Angeles — a one-hour boat ride from three different ports. Most recently, the venues played host to Budlight’s “Up For Whatever” campaign weekend, providing food & beverage, concerts and activities for 2,500 people.
The new Descanso Beach Club features a premier waterfront location and includes 7,000 sf of indoor and outdoor function space including Catherine’s Terrace, an expansive and flexible 1,600-sf banquet space for up to 150 persons, an additional 2,400 sf of prefunction space with panoramic views, a state-of-the-art facility with a 7,000-sf catering kitchen, luxury cabanas and brand new culinary offerings.
Descanso Beach, a stunning outdoor meeting and event venue, offers many amenities for corporate retreats and meetings such as gatherings beside the ocean or group dining on the beach under the stars. The terraced lawn and Avalon’s only seaside bar and restaurant can accommodate any size party. The beach club also is the Adventure Hub of Catalina Island and features the Zip Line Eco Tour, Sea Trek Undersea Adventure and countless water activities available.
