New Convention Center for North Springfield

According to KY3, more business and tax revenues are in store for the City of Springfield, Missouri, thanks to yet another hotel expansion. Construction is well underway on the city’s north side for the newest convention center.

“The convention center actually attaches to the preexisting space over here. an entire lot driveway through the back and of course the garage is right here,” Brian Inman, the general manager of the DoubleTree Hotel in Springfield, said.

Nestled between two hotels will be the new 10,000-sf convention center with seating capacity for 500+ as well as a 300-space parking garage to accommodate the visitors, according to Inman.
