Mount Airy Casino Resort Announces Multimillion-Dollar Expansion

Mount Airy Casino Resort, Pennsylvania’s first AAA Four-Diamond casino resort, announces the continued evolution of its dynamic property known for premier entertainment and legendary fun. The resort has partnered with prominent architectural firm Friedmutter Group to design a multi-million dollar expansion that will introduce 100 new guest rooms and a 16,000-sf ballroom and events center to be unveiled in Spring 2019. Mount Airy Casino Resort will also open a 27,000-sf outdoor concert pavilion, debuting May 2018.

Less than 90 minutes from NYC, Philadelphia and Northern New Jersey, the full-service resort is an accessible destination with enticing offerings. The Spring 2019 expansion will launch the following new spaces:

• Guest rooms and suites: The 188-room Mount Airy Casino Resort will introduce 100 new guest rooms, including four Executive Suites and five Junior Suites. Elegant and contemporary, the guest room design concept will be inspired by the natural elements of the Poconos, maximizing dramatic views of the surrounding mountain scene. Rooms will feature warm, rich tones with vivid accent colors. Plush fabrics with organic patterns will be accented with splashes of auburn reds, and custom curated artwork will incorporate earthy forest tones. Design details will include bedside pendants in bronze metal finish and seeded antique glass shades. The spacious suites will showcase rich chocolate brown with subtle taupe, enhanced by vibrant blue and yellow accents. In addition to a spacious shower, suite bathrooms will feature freestanding tubs.

• Ballroom and events center: Currently, Mount Airy Casino Resort offers 4,000 sf of flexible banquet/meeting space for groups ranging in size from 30 – 200 people. In Spring 2019, an additional new 16,000-sf meeting and convention center/ballroom will be introduced as a multi-functional state-of-the-art venue for banquets, private and corporate events, weddings and entertainment. The space (totaling 20,000 sf) will accommodate seated dinners up to 750 guests and hold 1,200 attendees for events and concerts.

Mount Airy Casino Resort is also building a new venue that will be launched for the summer 2018 season and serve as a new outdoor concert pavilion. Set on the property’s 1,056-acre grounds, the pavilion is slated to debut on Saturday, May 26 for the resort’s Summer Stage Series kick-off. The space will accommodate more than 2,000 attendees.
