Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort, Golf Club & Spa will join the JW Marriott brand family by December 31, 2016. A $175 million expansion project, scheduled to begin in May 2015, will add more than 100,000 sf of oceanfront meeting and event space, a rooftop restaurant and infinity pool, an adults-only guest room tower, and a 12,000-sf virtual entertainment center with hospitality suites.
In order to ensure the guest experience is minimally affected by the expansion, Marco Island Marriott will temporarily close from May 3, 2015 to July 31, 2015. The new JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort will be unveiled December 31, 2016.
Located on Marco Island, the No. 1 island in the U.S. and No. 4 island in the world as ranked by TripAdvisor readers, the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort will be the first JW Marriott property in the Continental U.S. to be located directly on the beach.
