InterContinental San Diego Eyes September Opening

The InterContinental San Diego, scheduled to open this September, is being crafted by Torrance, California-based design practice Linda Snyder Associates, reports Hotel Management.

The property will have floor-to-ceiling windows in the guest rooms, meeting spaces and public areas to bring the outdoors in and maximize the waterfront views and natural light.

In total, the property will have 400 rooms, including 24 suites. All rooms will have water views.

For events, the property will have 35,000 sf of flexible indoor space with natural light, and 60,000 sf of outdoor space including multiple bay view terraces overlooking Lane Field Park. The Pacific Ballroom will be able to host events up to 1,500 in the 12,000-sf space with full-length windows framing Santa Fe Depot and the downtown cityscape.
