Kathy Masterson Named FSAE’s Associate of the Year

Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach’s Director of Sales Kathy Masterson, CHSP, was presented the Associate of the Year award from the Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE) at the association’s Annual Conference held in Jacksonville, Florida, earlier this month.

Considered the most prestigious leadership accolade presented by FSAE, the recipient is nominated by his/her peers and selected by committee-review against a strict criterion of excellence and achievement.

“Kathy’s commitment to the profession and community go above-and-beyond the standard of excellence,” stated hotel General Manger Androse Bell.  “She is well deserving of this honor, and having her peers and the industry as a whole recognize her rock star achievements are something we truly celebrate.”

A 20-year industry veteran, Masterson began her career as an Assistant Front Office Manager, moving into Convention Services.  She has held positions with Hilton, Intercontinental Hotels Group and several independent properties prior to her current role as Director of Sales for Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach.  A member of FSAE since 2010, Masterson has served on the Silent Auction Committee for FSAE for the past three years and currently serves on the Associate Advisory Committee.

With more than 1,100 members, FSAE has been serving the association industry througouth Florida for 60 years.  FSAE fosters collaboration of association management professionals through networking and educational events, online communities and best-practice resources. At the Annual Conference, FSAE recognizes individuals for their leadership, dedication, and professionalism both within FSAE as well as their own organizations.
