Gaylord Texan Resort To Unveil Re-imagined Glass Cactus As Meeting, Special Events Space

Stunning Lakeside Venue Has Undergone $7 Million Renovation
to Host Social Events, Weddings, Corporate Meetings

GRAPEVINE, Texas – Coming May 2019, the sprawling Gaylord Texan Resort will reopen its 43,000-square-foot Glass Cactus space as an upscale lakeside events venue designed for memorable, unique social and corporate events, after an extensive $7 million renovation.  The waterside space will feature a contemporary and customizable event experience with all-new interior décor, flexible seating, multiple bars, catering stations and an expansive stage that can accommodate over 1,500 attendees.

“Glass Cactus is the only lakeside venue of its kind and provides an impressive setting for a wide range of events from corporate meetings and high-end galas to spectacular weddings and live music performances,” said Martha Neibling, Gaylord Texan’s director of public relations.  “We are eager for our customers to see first-hand the complete transformation of this remarkable venue, from the changeable glass walls that bring the outdoors in, to the dynamic lighting and nature-themed accents inspired by the vast Texas horizon.”

The new venue will feature Wi-Fi, built-in A/V, and dedicated parking with a drive-up porte-cochere.  For social events, the space offers a sophisticated venue for parties, reunions, fundraisers and more with comfortable seating, multiple bars, stunning views, and a dedicated kitchen and waitstaff to leave a lasting impression.
