June 18, 2018

Start your engines, folks, we’re heading to Charlotte! The Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) will host the 2019 ESPA Annual Conference, Full Throttle, January 11-13, 2019, at The Westin Charlotte.

This highly-anticipated conference for convention and event service professionals will feature two full days of education and networking. ESPA will also unveil a leadership track with programming for service professionals who are associate director level leaders and higher. This new track will include a series of breakout sessions. In addition, all attendees will enjoy experiential learning outside of the conference room.

“Our members requested more specialized education and training for leaders and we’re thrilled to unveil it in 2019,” said ESPA President Amy Cabe, director of convention and visitor services at Visit Spokane.

ESPA will expand the conference this year, beginning on Friday, January 11, with afternoon tours of Charlotte and a welcome reception, followed by full days of programming on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night’s reception will be held at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and sponsored by the Charlotte Regional Visitors’ Authority.

The conference will also announce the recipients of the Executive Excellence award, Meeting Professional of the Year award, CSM of the Year awards and the Donald S. Freeman, Jr. Student Scholarship.
