Cliff House Maine Reopens This Summer

July 8, 2016

Cliff HouseCliff House Maine, on 70 acres atop Bald Head Cliff on the southern coast, will reopen its doors this summer offering exceptional meeting and event spaces. Bringing to life an authentic, yet groundbreaking coastal vision, Maine hoteliers Marc Dugas and Peter Anastos partnered with leading investment platform Rockbridge and hotel development company RBHD to revitalize Cliff House for both travelers and the local community to experience and enjoy.

Following the extensive transformation, the property will boast more than 25,000 sf of new and flexible function space, including spectacular ballrooms ideal for meetings, presentations or events for up to 300 attendees. Planners can choose from a selection of 11 meeting spaces, many of which offer ocean views, equipped with Wi-Fi and expert audio-visual services. Larger groups can utilize the expansive Atlantic Ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, a 150-seat amphitheater for presentations and events or a selection of intimate boardrooms, most with natural light or views of the ocean.

  • The Atlantic Ballroom: This ballroom touts panoramic windows revealing unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a premier venue for truly unforgettable meetings or events, offering sweeping views of the ocean and coast beneath a stunning vaulted beamed ceiling finished in cedar planking.
  • Cape Neddick Salon: An additional venue on the opposite end of the property provides a second indoor space that offers beautiful ocean views as well as a pleasant outdoor terrace that will delight guests.
  • Bald Head Cliff Library: Perfect for smaller events, the library is a warm and cozy space decorated with maritime artwork and nautical books, and features breathtaking views of the ocean.
  • Outdoor Venues: Spanning 70 total acres, Cliff House Maine offers a wide variety of outdoor events space, ideal for outdoor meeting activities.

Catering menus are carefully prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Groups can also dine or host breakout sessions throughout the property’s culinary venues including Cliff House’s signature restaurant, The Tiller, which boasts a serene oceanfront dining experience, or Nubb’s Lobster Shack, which offers a more casual space with regional beers and craft cocktails to complement its delicious lobster.

Authentic Maine activities that will delight and challenge all types of groups include:

  • “OnlyinMaine” programs such as guided stargazing and blueberry picking contests.
  • Outings at the adjacent Cape Neddick Country Club golf course.
  • Classic Maine windjammer sails or trips on a traditional Maine lobster boat, paired with a beach lobster bake.
  • Outdoor challenges such as archery, fly casting and mountain biking.

Situated along the Atlantic Ocean, the resort is located within driving distance of New York City and is a short 90-minute drive north from Boston and 40 minutes south of Portland, Maine. The resort will expand further with additional guest rooms and an adults-only pool in late spring 2017.
