Cherokee Nation Plans New Casino Resort Destination Near Tulsa

Cherokee Nation officials have announced plans for a $170 million dining, entertainment and retail development in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, near Tulsa, as well as the eventual relocation of Cherokee Casino Tahlequah, according to a report in Tulsa World. The development will adjoin Cherokee Springs Golf Course, which the tribe purchased in 2012. Plans include a resort hotel, convention center, retail area and a new golf course clubhouse.
