Baha MarBaha Mar President Graeme Davis announced April 21 the official opening of Baha Mar, the $4.2 billion integrated resort development located along the pristine beaches of New Providence in The Bahamas. Following five days of celebrations for the 1,700 current associates, today’s ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the birth of Baha Mar as the first of the next generation of great destination resorts. Reservations are now open online at bahamar.com to book summer stays at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar.

The first phase opening includes the preview of The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar; Baha Mar Casino; Royal Blue Golf Club; The Baha Mar Convention, Art and Entertainment Center; Peter Burwash International tennis courts and facilities; multiple restaurants, bars and lounges; select ESPA spa experiences; the resort’s extensive pool and beach areas and the entry show lakes and fountain shows choreographed to music, film and lights.

THE GRAND HYATT BAHA MAR
The distinct East and West Towers of Grand Hyatt Baha Mar consist of 1,800 contemporary rooms including 230 one-, two- and three-bedroom suites. Each guest room offers lavish amenities, contemporary décor and outdoor balconies for views of the beach, resort pools, dramatic fountain shows and the Royal Blue Golf Club.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar manages The Baha Mar Convention, Art and Entertainment Center, the destination’s 200,000-sf indoor and outdoor convention facility, and connects directly to Baha Mar Casino, the largest casino in the Caribbean. Twenty various bars and restaurants will open in the Grand Hyatt under the leadership of executive chef Brent Martin.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar debuts five expansive resort pools for guests, including Blue Hole, inspired by the natural saltwater blue holes of The Bahamas, luxury poolside cabanas and a half mile of pristine sandy beaches.

BAHA MAR CASINO
Baha Mar Casino launches as the largest casino in the Caribbean, boasting 100,000 sf of gaming space, more than 1,000 state-of-the-art slot machines, 126 table games, race and sports betting, mobile gaming, exclusive high roller gaming salons and sophisticated restaurants and bars throughout the casino floor. The casino’s island-inspired design is complimented by natural daylight and breathtaking pool and ocean views.

The Baha Mar Casino features butler service in the high-end gaming areas, high-limit betting and private gaming salons, luxury retail and gourmet culinary and cocktail offerings. Live table games include black jack, roulette, baccarat and craps.

BAHA MAR’S WORLD OF FLAVORS
Baha Mar encompasses a diverse collection of culinary offerings, from full-service and casual dining to poolside and late-night bars. The assortment of food and beverage from over twelve outlets at Baha Mar will showcase a Caribbean escape with delectable options from morning to night.

The first wave of Baha Mar culinary offerings includes Three Tides, a seafood-forward Mediterranean all-day restaurant; The Swimming Pig, a modern riff on the British gastropub; Drift, offering Pan-Latin flavors in a casual setting; Palms, beach-side upscale dining; Conch Shack and Daq Shack, for local Bahamian flavors; Stix Noodle Bar, authentic Chinese; Blue Note, a live jazz bar; Out Island Bar, paying homage to the history of Nassau and Churchill, a rum and cigar lounge.

Guests will delight in craft cocktail offerings throughout the expansive selection of bars, including H2O, Elixir, Bar Noir and The Lynden.

RELAX AND REJUVENATE
All spa devotees at Baha Mar will have access to the 30,000-sf ESPA, the first flagship ESPA spa in the Caribbean. ESPA at Baha Mar features 24 private treatment rooms, saunas and steam rooms, relaxation zones and experience showers. Drawing on ESPA’s philosophy of creating bespoke spa experiences that reflect the culture and geography of the destination, ESPA at Baha Mar offers signature treatments inspired by The Bahamas.

THE BEST OF THE BAHAMAS
At Baha Mar experience the best of The Bahamas, including unprecedented services, offerings and amenities. Luxury retail outlets throughout the property include Rolex, Bulgari and John Bull featuring David Yurman, with more to come throughout 2017. Resort wear and branded Baha Mar apparel are available at retailers Forget Me Not and Stripped Cabana.

Royal Blue Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, is uniquely designed as two courses in one. The front nine holes feature dramatic views of undulating fairways, rolling white sand dunes, brackish ponds and glimpses of a turquoise Atlantic Ocean. The back nine showcases a very different look; players navigate stunning limestone “moonscapes” through dense jungle and steep downhill terrain to get to the island green on the 16th hole, which precariously borders Lake Cunningham. The course spans 7,189 yards, and the beauty, difficulty and challenges make the course enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

The resort destination’s dramatic fountains and show lakes are positioned along the regal entry drive leading to the grand porte-cochère entrance of Baha Mar. The high-powered fountains shooting water 110 feet into the air will transform Baha Mar’s entryway into a full array of color, while cutting-edge, high-tech laser technology projects the dramatic, Bahamian-inspired dance onto walls of water accompanied by an original musical composition.

CELEBRATING THE ARTS
Baha Mar introduces a stellar art program known as The Current, responsible for all education and curatorial and gallery operations at Baha Mar. Baha Mar will feature approximately 8,500 pieces of Bahamian art throughout the property. The range of art in the collection displays the breadth of Bahamian art, brings exposure to the scope of artistic practices in the country, and offers a platform for visitors to learn about Bahamian culture.

BAHA MAR PHASE II and III
Baha Mar’s phase one unveiling is followed by phase two with the debut of SLS in fall 2017, and the final phase will introduce the enhanced and expanded Rosewood Baha Mar in spring 2018.
