Alaska Earthquake Effects Anchorage Marriott Downtown

The 7.0 earthquake has Alaska scrambling and may affect the meetings industry at some point. The Downtown Marriott is currently open for business with no damage reported. Electricity hasn’t been compromised, however, water has not yet been restored by order of the City of Anchorage. Ballroom and meeting space is available and playing host to guests who wish to enjoy beverages, according to staff members. Reservations have not yet resumed.
